Navigating the Adult Social Care and Support Policy Landscape

23 Jul 2026
Keynote Stage
The adult social care and support sector is navigating a complex and rapidly changing policy environment, with significant implications for providers, workforce sustainability, and the people who draw on care and support. In this session, Finn will provide an overview of the current policy landscape, exploring the key developments shaping the sector and their potential impact on care and support provision. The session will cover workforce reform, structural reform, and wider health and care system changes. Drawing on insight from across the not-for-profit care sector, it will focus on what providers need to prioritise now, where the key risks and opportunities lie, and how organisations can position themselves for the future. Finn will also draw on his work leading NCF’s programme on supporting better employment practice, offering reflections on how policy changes are translating into real-world challenges and opportunities for employers. Attendees will leave with a stronger understanding of the direction of travel in adult social care policy, alongside practical insights to help them respond with confidence.
